I attended Woodstock School, an international boarding school in Mussoorie, India, from 3rd grade until the end of my senior year. Woodstock School offered students the privilege of not adhering to a uniform dress code. This set it apart from my previous schools and other nearby institutions where uniforms were mandatory.
While at Woodstock, my friend Giju Kim and I took the initiative to organize and pioneer the first-ever fashion show at our school. This event allowed students and staff to express themselves through their choice of clothing, embracing aspects such as culture, ethnicity, style, identity, and more. Remarkably, despite graduating years ago, this fashion show continues to be held annually at Woodstock School.
